Thank You Notes

I recently chaired a committee for our local high school (the one my 2 sons attend).  It's a great way to be involved in my children's school life, and get to know more of the parents.  I was heavily involved when they were in elementary school  - we were there for a total 11 years (both boys combined), and I served as PAC (parent advisory council) chair for 4 of those years, and also chaired and participated on numerous other committees and activities.  It was such fun!  I really miss that part of school life, as it's just not the same for the high school; the students are much more self-directed, which is as it should be, of course!

Anyway - this committee was made up of myself and 4 other parents.  Now that it's over, I want to give them a note of thanks for their time and committment - after all, we are all volunteers, donating our own time!

Here's the Thank You notes I made:

These were super quick to make; I used the Fresh Cut notes (currently in the Clearance Rack!), backed the cut-out flower with some Everyday Enchantment DSP (from Sale-a-bration), and used the coordinating Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brads.  The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits for the Big Shot, cut from Old Olive and Calypso Coral card stock.
Just to fancy up the envelopes, I used stamps from Fresh Vintage (the 'postage looking' one) and a retired set.

One of the school Counsellors coordinated things from his end; as he was doing this on behalf of the parents for the students, I made a Thank You card for him, as well.

As you can see, it's more masculine - suited for a male counsellor!  I stamped the Sprinkled Expressions stars onto Whisper White cardstock in 3 shades of blue - Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and Bashful Blue - and matted that onto a background of Well Worn DSP.  Behind that is a mat of Not Quite Navy cardstock, on top of a Whisper White card base.  The 'swirls' you see on the card and envelope are from a retired 'Season of Joy' christmas set.  Inside the card, I stamped 'Thanks' using the Outlined Occassions stamp set.

Thanks for sharing some time with me today - I hope you enjoyed yourself, and I hope you're playing along in our Treasure Hunt!!  We now have 19 clues listed - can you find them all?  Only 1 more needed, then you can email me with your list of clues to WIN A PRIZE!!

Happy Hunting and Stamping!
